SEO in Cork

Cork is our second home market. The work here leans technical — pharma and med-tech companies around Ringaskiddy and Little Island who need internal tools and portals, alongside consumer businesses across the city and harbour towns.
Technical fixes we can implement ourselves because we built the site, content that answers what a buyer actually typed, and location pages that rank in the cities you sell in. Reported as sessions and leads by page, never as a rankings screenshot.

See what Google sees, in under a minute

Put your address in and we will fetch the page, measure what is actually on it, and write you a plain-English report: what is working, what is not, and what to fix first. No call, no catch — reading it costs nothing, and an email is only asked for if you want the PDF to keep. It is the same first hour of work we would do for a client, and you can act on it without us.

Three reports an hour. We read one page, the same way a search engine would, and we never store your site content.

What SEO actually is

Strip away the jargon and it is three things happening in a row, several thousand times a month, for a business like yours.
Somebody searchesA person with money and a problem types it into Google. They are not looking for you — they are looking for the thing you sell.
Google picks ten answersIt ranks every page it knows about and shows the ten it trusts most. The first three take the overwhelming majority of the clicks.
One of them is yoursSEO is the work of being one of those ten, for the searches that actually end in a sale. That is the entire job.
WHY IT IS WORTH IT

What that does to a business

This is the half you can feel. It is also the half nobody can sell you directly — it is what happens once the other half is right.
More of the right trafficNot visits for their own sake: people who typed something that only a buyer types, arriving on the page built to answer it.
More enquiries, from better leadsSomeone who found you by searching for the problem is already further along than someone who saw an ad. They arrive knowing what they want.
Ranking where it mattersPosition one on a term nobody searches is a vanity metric. Position three on the term your customers actually use is a pipeline.
A name people recogniseBeing there every time somebody looks does something an ad cannot. By the third search you are not a stranger, you are the obvious choice.
It keeps paying after you stopTurn off the ads and the phone stops the same day. A page that ranks carries on earning long after the month it was written in.
HOW THE WORK SPLITS

One job, three disciplines

Every SEO conversation gets muddled because the word covers three different jobs. Two of them you would recognise on sight — the words on your pages, and what the rest of the internet says about you. The third is invisible, unglamorous, and the reason the other two are allowed to count at all.

SEO

One job, three kinds of work

On your pages

On-page SEO

Everything a reader and a search engine both see. The part you could point at on a screen.

  • Keywords and intentWhat a buyer actually types, and which of those searches end in a sale rather than a browse.
  • Titles and meta descriptionsThe one line you own in the results page, written to earn the click instead of to please a plugin.
  • Content that answers completelyPages written from your sales calls, covering the question fully so nobody goes back to Google for the rest.
  • Headings and internal linksStructure a machine can follow, pointing authority at the pages that sell rather than pooling it on the home page.
  • Images and alt textSized, compressed and described — an unlabelled image is invisible to a screen reader and to a search engine alike.

Beyond your site

Off-page SEO

Your reputation, measured by what the rest of the internet says about you when you are not in the room.

  • Links worth havingEarned from work worth citing — original data, a tool people use, a story a journalist wants. Not bought, not rented.
  • Digital PR and citationsBeing named where your buyers already read, with the same name, address and phone everywhere it appears.
  • Google Business ProfileMaintained rather than claimed and forgotten. It is most of what decides local rankings in the cities you sell in.
  • Reviews and mentionsWhat people say unprompted. It moves rankings, and it moves the decision once somebody is on the page.
  • Brand searchesPeople typing your name instead of the category. The slowest signal to build and the hardest one to fake.

Under the bonnet

Technical SEO

The plumbing. Nobody outside the business ever sees it, and neither of the other two columns can work without it.

  • Crawling and indexingMaking sure Google can reach every page worth ranking, and is not wasting its time on the ones that are not.
  • Speed and Core Web VitalsMeasured on a mid-range phone on mobile data, which is where your customers actually are.
  • Site architectureA structure that says what the business does, so the important pages are never four clicks from anywhere.
  • Structured dataTelling a machine what your business is, where it is and what it costs, without it having to guess.
  • Fixing what blocks all of itBroken redirects, duplicate pages, stray noindex tags — the boring things quietly costing you the other two columns.

Technical SEO is the floor the other two stand on. The best page ever written and every link in the country count for nothing if Google cannot crawl the page, load it or trust it. You would notice the first two columns; you only ever notice the third when it is missing.

Three streams, running together

Technical

Crawlability, index bloat, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data. On sites we built this is a short job because the problems were designed out. On inherited sites it is usually where the first three months of gains come from.

Content

Pages that answer a specific question completely, rather than another thin post about industry trends. We work from your sales calls — the objections that come up every week are the pages that earn traffic and close deals.

Local and Maps

A page per city you genuinely serve, with local proof on it, plus a Google Business Profile that is actually maintained. Consistent name, address and phone everywhere, because inconsistency is the most common reason local rankings stall.

No link packages

We do not buy links, rent them, or place your business in a directory of 400 unrelated businesses. Links that move rankings come from work worth citing — original data, a tool people use, a story a journalist wants. That is slower and it is the version that does not evaporate the next time Google updates. If someone has quoted you a hundred backlinks a month, ask them where from.

Questions Cork clients ask

Do you actually come to Cork, or is it all calls?

We travel down for kickoff and for quarterly reviews as standard, and more often if the project needs it. Nobody has ever complained about an agency turning up too much.

We are in a regulated industry. Does that change things?

It changes the process more than the price. Validation, audit trails and change control get built into how we work rather than bolted on, and we will want your quality team in the room early.

Can you handle both English and Irish-language content?

Yes, and for public-sector work in Cork it is often a requirement rather than a nicety. Bilingual pages are set up properly with hreflang so neither version competes with the other.

How long until we see something?

Technical fixes can move things in weeks. Content and authority take 3–6 months to show up properly, and longer in competitive markets. Anyone offering page one in 30 days is either bidding on your brand name or lying.

Do you guarantee rankings?

No, and neither can anyone else — nobody controls the algorithm. What we will commit to is the work, the reporting, and telling you plainly when a target is not worth chasing.

What about AI search and answer engines?

Largely the same fundamentals, weighted differently: clean structure, unambiguous facts, real expertise on the page, and structured data so a machine can read it without guessing. We track how often you are being cited, not just ranked.
